Since high school, Stephany Quintero has been passionate about serving as a member of the U.S. Army. Now a senior accounting and finance double major and member of ROTC at Ouachita Baptist University, Quintero has been named in the 2% of college students around the country accepted to the Army’s Educational Delay Program.

September 25, 2020Ouachita Baptist University has been named “#2 Best Regional College in the South” for the second consecutive year by U.S. News & World Report. The university landed high honors in other categories in the region, as well, including #4 rankings for “Most Innovative” and “Best Undergraduate Teaching” and #5 for “Best Value.”
Four Ouachita Baptist University seniors earned the top awards for undergraduates in the 20th annual Arkansas Governor’s Cup Collegiate Business Plan Competition for their plan, ImmunoSense. Ouachita seniors Olivia Brown, Savannah Edwards, Brandon Matros and Sheldon McCown and their faculty advisor, Dr. Blake Johnson, won first place in the overall undergraduate division as well as the undergraduate innovation award.

Senior Cole Jester earned first place in the competition for his business plan, Bone Dri, along with a $4,000 cash prize.

May 03, 2019Ouachita Baptist University’s Cole Jester, a senior Christian studies/biblical studies and political science double major from Benton, Ark., received third place and a $10,000 cash prize in the undergraduate division of the annual Governor’s Cup Business Plan Competition, held in Little Rock earlier this spring, for his business plan Bone Dri.
